The Stories of César Chávez

The Stories of César Chávez is a dramatic solo show depicting the life of labor leader and civil rights activist César Chávez. Developed and performed by Los Angeles actor Fred Blanco, this award winning stage play features Blanco embodying a compelling host of characters, from youthful zoot-suiters and peasant farm workers, to racist Teamsters, to angry radicals as he gives his audience a glimpse of a man locked in a struggle with his personal demons while fighting for equality for his community.

This VIP ticket package includes: an intimate garden reception with performers Fred Blanco, Brian Kral, and Juanita Westbrook, with wine and hors d'oeuvres; a premium seat reserved in the center section of the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater for the Tuesday June 21 evening performances; a champagne and dessert toast in the amphitheater before the 7pm performances; and a special gift bag commemorating 45 years of Nevada Humanities achievements.

This VIP ticket package is $50 per person, and space is limited. Admission to the June 21 reception is limited to VIP ticket package holders only. Ticket packages are available on a first come, first served basis.
