The Wild Truth: VIP Package

Inspired by Jon Krakauer's widely-known book Into the Wild, Nevada Humanities is thrilled to bring author Carine McCandless to Reno for the Festival's inaugural evening event on Tuesday, June 23. The sister of Chris McCandless, whose life and death in the wild is recounted in Krakauer's book, Carine wrote her memoir, The Wild Truth, recounting life with Chris before his westward departure.

This VIP ticket package includes: an intimate garden reception with Carine, with hors d'oeuvres provided by Reno Provisions and Reno Local Food Group; a premium seat reserved in the center section of the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater for the evening talk given by Carine at 7 pm; and premier access for Carine's 8:30 pm, post-show book signing.

This VIP ticket package is $50 per person, and space is limited. Admission to the June 23 reception is limited to VIP ticket package holders only.

Ticket packages are available on a first come, first served basis.

The evening with Carine includes special guest appearances by Great Basin Young Chautauqua youth reading passages from Jon Krakauer's book, Into the Wild.

Post-show book signing at 8:30 pm. Sundance Books and Music will be on site selling books throughout the evening.
